If it doesn't have a tail

In Portuguese there is only one work for "Monkey" and "Ape" (macaco).
Here's a quick song that would help you decide if you will use the word "monkey" or "ape" in English.

Lyrics here: http://veggietales.wikia.com/wiki/Monkey

O google translate traduz errado *Google translate does a poor translation job.
https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=pt&u=http%3A%2F%2Fveggietales.wikia.com%2Fwiki%2FMonkey
what the world is "PARVA", google?

And one last tip. Another word that is translated as monkey (macaco) em portuguese is a Jack (the one you use in your car).

My husband just informed me people sometimes refer to people that work in cars as greased Monkeys... so... full circle, there you go.
Aparently there's even a tV show about it, I never watched, so I can't tell you to if it's good or not, but here's the show: http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/grease-monkeys/558990/

Deuteronomy

From the series: Words I'm still learning.

Deuteronomy! Say that 10x fast.

Now a fun song to learn how to pronounce that. Portuguese speakers, the pronounciation it's something like this: /Dure'rounoumi/ ' marks the stronger sylable.

Well, everything is easier in song, so... let's learn how to pronounce the name of the 5th book of the Bible:

What's the fifth book of the Bible?
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy...
Let's hear a song about it!
And now the fabulous Bently brothers.

"I suppose you know of Moses
I always picture him with a beard.
Hmm. I picture him with a mustache, though I know that’s a little weird.
There was time when he gathered all the Israelites around.

He told them some things and said, “I should probably write this down.”

That’s now the book of Deuteronomy.
40 days worth of sermons  in 1410 B.C.
Moses reminded everybody who’d been wandering around in the wilderness,
God gives you His best,
give Him your best,
and you will be blessed.
Everyone brought out their lawn chairs,
just like a nice day at the the beach.
but it wasn't a beach, it was a smoking hot desert
and Moses was giving a speech
Gee that doesn't seem too exciting to me.
I mean, does it to you?
But the mustache man speaking directly to God
It's probably worth listening to
That's now the book of the deutoronomy
The famous last words of Moses
given at age 120
That's when he reminded everyone before they went into the land of promise,
God gives you His best,
give Him your best,
and you will be blessed.

That’s now the book of Deuteronomy.

it's been translated to English for you and me.
And that's a good thing because it was originally written in Hebrew
I don't Hebrew but if you do,
I'd like to meet you."

Tomorrow is Lucy's day... and Groundhog's Day! What in the world is that you ask me?
Well, I had the exact same question, fifteen years ago... When I first arrived in the US, everytime I'd show my passport or driver's license "for official purposes" someone would enthusiastically say: "You are a Groundhog's day baby! "

... was my answer...

Fast forward to 2016... as I hear "Groundhog's Day", my heart is so warm and it makes me think of home (by Home I do mean this little town in PA)... My heart actually feels full with those warm fuzzy feelings and I just sigh and dream... Exaggeration? Nope. True.  I don't know why.

It's a Pennsylvania thing I guess... or maybe a birthday thing... or a romantic thing... I'm not sure! All I know is that I love Groundhog's day.
One has to watch the Movie and make a visit to the lovely town of Punxsutawney in PA in order to fully understand this! (that's right, in PA we don't say Pennsylvania, just plain: PA - Click on this link for more fun PA things ).

So here's your Groundhog Tour:

 1. What is Groundhog's day? Peek for some info here:

2. After getting "up to speed * (click on link for full definition) " on the national coolest day of the year, watch this movie

3. Finally keep an eye on newspapers to Watch Phil on the news tomorrow. ..If the groundhog sees it's shadow there are 6 more weeks of winter...I hope so! We are due for need some snow, came on now Phil!!! #TeamPhil
